Tractor Trailer Truck Accident in Redlands CA
In San Bernardino, California, a truck was driving on interstate 10 when the trailer it was hauling collided with another truck. This caused the trailer to flip and many to get trapped in the trailer. It blocked the road off and about half of the 160 passengers were killed in the crash, while the other 80 remaining passengers were still trapped in the trailer. But all of the passengers were cattle, luckily no humans were hurt, although many motorists reported injuries from the truck crash.
The truck hauling the trailer attempted to merge into the slow lane. He did not notice a truck was already in the lane. Before merging at the last second the driver of the rig swerved back into the previous lane and this caused the trailer to flip. The 80 cattle were killed when the trailer flipped and turned on its side. The status of both drivers was not reported but many volunteers, firemen, and Animal control helped rescue the trapped cattle and take them to a nearby field where they helped there injuries. Although it was terrible that so many poor helpless cattle died it is good to hear no humans were killed in this bizarre accident.
